About Us

Your guides and owners of Rosebud Llamas Utah are Shirley Weathers and Bill Walsh. Both of us have years of experience hiking, camping, skiing, and biking in Utah's deserts and mountains. We have owned, trained, loved, and packed with llamas since 1995. We are both certified Wilderness First Responders and have Outfitter-Guide Food Handlers permits.

We are members of the Pack Llama Trial Association (PLTA), Rocky Mountain Llama Association (RMLA), and the Utah Llama Association (ULA). Shirley has served on the Boards of the PLTA and the ULA. She is also the author of Field Guide to Plants Poisonous to Livestock: Western U.S. (1998) and Leave No Trace Using Llamas in the Backcountry (1999 and 2004--a revision under joint copyright with Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics).

We are happy to help guests and visitors arrange logistics and learn about local resources and other recreational opportunities in the area. We have a clean, affordable guest house right here at Rosebud Llamas Utah that can sleep up to 12.
