Rosebud Llamas Utah

Olé

Ole of Rosebud Llamas Utah

ÌOlé! is the shout sent up to signify bravery on the part of a bull-fighter, and when this little guy survived pneumonia during the first week of his life, that just had to be his name. Llamas almost always birth during the day, but after an unusually long labor by mother Allende, Olé hit the ground at 3 a.m. on a cold March morning. Despite immediate and long efforts to dry him off and warm him up with towels, blankets, and the hairdryer, he was sick on day two. Now, at well over 400 pounds, he shows no signs of his precarious start in life—except a dislike of needles. He’s a favorite with kids on day hikes. (1999)
