Danke
is Rosebud Llamas Utah’s second llama-dog. Her wonderful predecessor
was Osa, a Doberman female, who was claimed by lung cancer. Danke goes
on all of our trips and hikes.She was born just a few days into this
Century and quickly reminded us what German Shepherd puppyhood is
like—part delight (she was only two in the photo above) and part nearly
impossible. At age six, she’s a great dog. She’s friendly towards
humans, gets along well with other dogs, and interacts well with the
llamas, but her special talent seems to be with children. She loves to
play so kids who love dogs can really have a good time with her, and
she with them. What we’ve found amazing is her ability to help children
who are afraid of dogs feel less fearful and even comfortable in her
presence.
